U.S. President Donald Trump’s company has submitted £150 million ($196 million) investment plan for the development of his golf course in Scotland.
The company plans to build 500 residential homes, 50 hotel cottages, sports centre, retail, equestrian and commercial spaces at his Aberdeen resort, along with other leisure facilities.
In 2008, the development was first approved and the company has been accused of failing to deliver on promises of investment and jobs.
But the Trump company says the next phase will support nearly 2,000 jobs during construction, and some 300 permanent jobs.
“Initial interest to our plans have been incredible and, subject to detailed planning approval, we are aiming to break ground next year,” Eric Trump said in a statement today.
