THE MANAGEMENT OF ABC TRANSPORT PLC has assured that the company would continue to do its best to sponsor activities aimed at furthering an accident free environment across the nation.
Frank Nneji, managing direcrtor and chief executive officer of the company said that one of such activities is the Road Safety Watch, a public enlightenment programme by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) which is broadcast live on Heartland FM 100.5 Owerri every Tuesday by 3.30pm.
Nneji explained that it was against this background that many governmental and non-governmental agencies had always approached the company for partnerships and collaborations during their various programmes and initiatives, stressing that all of this is strengthened by our dedication to/and promotion of safety.
Nneji disclosed this at the 2018 “accident free award” ceremony organized by the management for 514 drivers and attendants of the company.
He said that being driven by safety culture, which is one of the remarkable features that had endeared the company to her tomers and which runs through the entire operation and workforce, the company would not only continue to harp on safety but also live by it.
“Moreover, safety is our age long pledge to our staff and customers safety remains our collective responsibility, not only to ABC Transport and its esteemed customers, but also to our loving families and the entire society”.
This, he said, informed reasons the management of the company had never compromised on safety since it epitomize all that the company stands for in the corporate world, besides her unequalled customer service orientation.
He, however, lamented the herculean task in doing business in the country, saying that bad roads, extortion, cost of petroleum products, inadequate power supply, violence, kidnappings, insecurity among other factors had become formidable obstacles to the company.
