eTranzact Plc, a leading e-payment gateway company, has launched its utility bill payment service in the northern region of Nigeria, bringing convenience and efficiency to the electricity bill payment process in Jos, Bauchi, and Kaduna.

Through the Powercode service, residents in these regions can now effortlessly top up their electricity bills by simply dialing *389# on their mobile phones and following the instructions.

This expansion underscores eTranzact’s commitment to providing Nigerians with an easy and convenient lifestyle.

Abimbola Reis, group head, financial services and collections at eTranzact, reiterated the company’s commitment to enhancing  accessibility for all Nigerians.

“At eTranzact, we are passionate about leveraging technology to make everyday tasks easier for our customers. By extending our Powercode service to the northern region, we are ensuring that more Nigerians can enjoy a seamless and convenient experience when managing their utility bills,” Reis stated.

Powercode, a self-service electricity payment solution, has been designed to simplify the utility payment process for Nigerians by enabling users to manage their electricity payments using Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) codes on their mobile phones. Provided by eTranzact, the service has already been rolled out in several major cities in Nigeria, including Abuja, Enugu, Ibadan, Benin, Kano, Port-Harcourt, and Lagos.

eTranzact’s Powercode service removes the need for internet access, providing a seamless and convenient way for users to settle their utility bills. By utilising USSD technology, customers can pay their utility bills in a matter of moments without the added complexity of internet connectivity, making the process swift and effortless.
