NAOC JV delivers medical equipment to health facilities in Niger Delta

Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) has donated medical equipment to healthcare facilities in four states in the Niger Delta region, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The donations were made on behalf of the NAOC Joint Venture, which includes other oil companies and the Nigerian government.

The medical equipment donations were officially handed over to the hospitals during commissioning ceremonies that took place in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States. The eleven mobile ventilators donated to hospitals in these cities are a vital addition to the facilities’ equipment, as they can help to save lives in cases of respiratory distress.

These donations are part of NAOC’s efforts to promote the health and wellbeing of the communities in which it operates. By providing much-needed medical equipment, the company said it is helping to improve the efficiency of health care delivery in these communities and ensure that residents have access to quality medical care.

To ensure that the donated medical equipment is used effectively and benefits the communities in the long term, NAOC and the health care institutions have established a joint monitoring and evaluation team. This team will periodically review the performance and impact of the machines, and provide feedback to the company.

In addition to donations of medical equipment, NAOC and its partners also implement other initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development in the local communities and states where it operates. These initiatives include the construction of infrastructure, the improvement of health and education facilities, and the provision of training and capacity building for local residents.

The NAOC is a joint venture between several companies, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Eni S.p.A., and Oando. The NAOC JV, as an entity, operates oil exploration and production activities in the land and swamp areas of the Niger Delta.
