Nigeria must be rescued

The current state of our nation, Nigeria, and the dire economic and security situation it faces, are so critical that an intervention is desperately, very urgently needed to prevent total collapse.
At this very precarious point, Nigeria needs a Specialist, a Technocrat, after the order of Joseph of biblical times, who through wisdom and discretion rescued Egypt from imminent economic catastrophe.
Nigeria must be rescued
This article is not about politics nor is it about religion, but is written out of a deep sense of patriotism and realism.
Joseph in the Bible was wise and discreet (Genesis 41:39-41); that is to say, he was capable mentally.  Joseph in the Bible feared God (Gen. 42:18); that is to say, he was honest, a man of integrity, accountability and equity. Joseph in the Bible was tolerant (Gen. 50:19-21); that is to say, he had a forgiving spirit and was accommodating.
Joseph in the Bible was agile, smart and strong, that is to say, he was physically and mentally fit.
Mental capacity, physical agility and moral integrity are some essential credentials of the person Nigeria needs at this crucial and critical time, to pull her out of the pit she has been pushed into by her very incompetent, corrupt, dubious, unpatriotic, wicked and callous past and present pretentious leaders.
The persons and structures that contributed to this state of near annihilation of the nation cannot, and will never, be able to rescue Nigeria from the comatose they had a hand in bringing about. It will take fresh minds and new hands to pull this nation out of this quagmire, not the old structures, not the old, tired and retired brains and hands masquerading around. We have to be sincere to ourselves and stop being myopic and insensitive to the plight of the nation.
Let us forget all these talks about, “they don’t have structures”, “he is not prepared”, “they are not experienced”, etc. The Joseph in the Bible that I am talking about was never “tested nor prepared” beyond the domestic experiences he had as a servant in Potiphar’s house and in the prison yards. But more importantly, he had the fear and the wisdom of God. He was not after ambition, wealth or fame for himself. He was after serving humanity.
Nigeria needs a Joseph now!
My prayer this time is that God should raise a Joseph for Nigeria in the forthcoming presidential elections in 2023, just as He did for Egypt.
I, therefore, implore all Nigerians to come together as one indivisible body, irrespective of political afflictions, irrespective of religion or ethnicity; to put sentiments aside and vote massively for “genuine change” in the 2023 presidential elections. Nigeria needs genuine change, not a recycling change. We have had enough, and enough is enough!
Let me conclude this way. Every patriotic Nigerian; I mean, everyone who loves this country, should put party politics aside for the now, put sentiments aside, not minding religious persuasions and objectively identify, rally round, support, promote, and vote for any candidate who is mentally and physically fit, a candidate who has capacity, integrity, credibility, equity, humility, tolerance, as the next President of Nigeria in the 2023 general election.
I am not saying that you should be obedient. What I am saying is that we should not be disobedient.
Nigeria must be rescued!
God bless you.
