The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has called on all its licensees to comply with their obligations under the Licensing Regulations 2019 by promptly updating any changes in their contact details.
According to the Commission, licensees are required to notify the NCC of changes in their addresses and other contact information within seven days of occurrence.
In a statement issued by Reuben Muoka, the director of public affairs, the NCC emphasised that the update is essential for maintaining effective regulatory oversight and seamless communication between the commission and its licensees.
Licensees are required to update the following information via the NCC’s eServices platform, accessible at https://eservices.ncc.gov.ng, on or before January 9, 2025:
The Commission outlined the specific categories of information that need to be updated. They include: Physical address of the principal place of business (including postcode, geographic coordinates and landmarks); Mailing address (if different from the physical address); Email addresses; Telephone numbers; and Names and details of contact personnel
The NCC also warned that licensees who fail to provide accurate and updated physical addresses risk facing sanctions. This measure is intended to ensure compliance and to uphold transparency and accountability within the telecommunications industry.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to fostering a robust regulatory framework and urged all licensees to fulfill their obligations promptly to avoid penalties.
“Please note that where a licensee cannot be located at its given physical address, appropriate sanctions will be applied,”the statement reads.
