PalmPay, a leading Nigerian digital bank, has unveiled its Wealth Wish Day campaign, aiming to empower users to enhance their savings through a gamified and rewarding initiative.

The campaign, which commenced on April 2nd and will run until April 20th, 2025, offers participants the opportunity to win a range of prizes, from daily cash rewards and premium gadgets to the grand prize of a luxury getaway to East Africa.

Building on the success of previous user engagement programmes, PalmPay’s latest campaign leverages its Wealth product to encourage the development of healthy savings habits in a more engaging manner.

To participate, users are required to access the campaign page within the PalmPay application, select a “wish theme” that aligns with their financial aspirations, and save the designated amount by the deadline of 12:00 PM on April 20th. Users who successfully meet their savings goals will automatically be entered into a grand draw scheduled for April 21st, which will be live-streamed across PalmPay’s digital channels.

The campaign introduces six distinct wish themes, each linked to specific savings targets and corresponding rewards designed to provide immediate value. For instance, the 30 Days of Free Data theme requires a savings of N3,000, while the Tasty Chicken Republic Lunch theme necessitates a N5,000 savings goal. Higher-value themes include “30 Days of Coke” (N10,000 savings), a Laptop (N50,000 savings), a Cool 1.5HP Air Conditioner (N100,000 savings), and the top-tier Luxury Getaway to East Africa, which can be unlocked with a N1,000,000 savings target. PalmPay has stated that users participating in multiple wish themes will have a proportionally higher chance of winning.

This initiative underscores PalmPay’s commitment to fostering a stronger savings culture amongst Nigerians and making financial services more appealing. With a user base exceeding 35 million and a diverse portfolio of high-yield savings products, the company continues to position itself as a significant player in the Nigerian financial landscape.

Femi Hanson, head of marketing and communications at PalmPay, commented on the campaign, stating: “PalmPay’s mission with its Wealth products is to make saving as simple, rewarding, and accessible for every Nigerian. With the Wish campaign, we are not just encouraging a savings culture, we are showing people that saving can come with real, tangible rewards. It’s our way of empowering users and helping them move closer to their goals.”

PalmPay has previously highlighted the returns offered by its Wealth products, citing instances such as a loyal user earning over N11 million in interest in 2024, with annual interest rates reaching up to 20 percent. The Wealth Wish Day campaign is open to both new and existing PalmPay users.
