Globacom has unveiled a new range of flexible and affordable data roaming bundles, enabling Nigerians traveling abroad to stay connected for both business and leisure.

The initiative is part of the telecom giant’s efforts to provide seamless communication for its customers across an expanded list of 40 countries.

In a statement announcing the development, the company emphasised the importance of keeping subscribers connected. “These roaming bundles are designed to ensure our customers can share moments with their loved ones, remain active on social media, and handle business engagements efficiently, no matter their destination,” the statement read.

Globacom explained that the bundles cater to different needs, offering options such as 50MB of roaming data for N2,500, valid for 3 days, and 6GB for N50,000, valid for 60 days. Other plans include N5,000 for 125MB valid for 7 days, N10,000 for 1GB valid for 10 days, and N25,000 for 2.5GB valid for 30 days.

According to the telecom provider, subscribers can purchase these bundles by dialing *312# and selecting option 5. “Customers can activate their preferred roaming plan before departure or upon arrival at their destination,” Globacom noted.

The company further added  that prepaid customers automatically have roaming services activated, while postpaid subscribers need to enable the service before purchasing a bundle. Validity begins only when subscribers start browsing in the destination country.

To avoid unexpected charges, Globacom advised customers to connect to specific recommended networks listed on its website. “Subscribers must ensure they connect to the recommended networks. Failure to do so will attract Pay-As-You-Go charges,” the statement added.

Globacom also assured users of regular notifications to track data usage and prevent sudden depletion. “We provide timely alerts to keep customers informed about their consumption and the remaining balance of their data bundle,” it said.

The roaming bundles are available across 46 networks in 40 countries, including popular destinations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Brazil.

With this offering, Globacom aims to enhance the travel experience for Nigerians by providing affordable and reliable roaming services, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
