Brokerslink, a leading global broking business, has announced the appointment of four new regional managers to oversee its operations across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, as the company embarks on a new phase of regional consolidation and strategic growth.
The new appointments, which reflect Brokerslink’s commitment to reinforcing local leadership and enhancing collaboration across its global footprint, bring together highly experienced professionals with decades of expertise in insurance broking, underwriting, and client management.
Regional appointments
In Africa, Enitan Solarin, managing director of YOA Insurance Brokers in Nigeria, has been appointed regional manager. Solarin, a Law graduate and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in both the UK and Nigeria, brings more than 30 years of industry experience spanning claims, underwriting, and specialty lines. Her appointment reinforces Brokerslink’s growing focus on Africa’s fast-evolving insurance landscape, particularly in Nigeria, one of the continent’s key markets.
For the Americas, Rodney Farah, managing director of PRFC in Trinidad and Tobago, has been appointed to lead the region. Farah, a third-generation insurance broker with 34 years of experience, holds the designation of Chartered Insurance Broker (ACII) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). His leadership is expected to strengthen Brokerslink’s presence across Latin America and the Caribbean.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Tushar Thakker, CEO of Peraj Insurance Brokers in India, assumes the role of regional manager. Thakker heads one of India’s oldest and most respected insurance brokerage firms, offering a comprehensive range of services across India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. His appointment underscores Brokerslink’s strategy to deepen its presence in Asia’s dynamic and fast-expanding insurance markets.
Representing Europe, Lívia Bisoni, head of international at MDS Portugal, takes up the regional leadership role. Bisoni, who joined MDS Portugal in 2021 as a business developer for corporate clients, currently manages the company’s international department, overseeing global clients, partners, and institutional relations with chambers of commerce and industry associations. Her experience in coordinating multinational broker tenders positions her to drive Brokerslink’s growth agenda across Europe.
The four new regional heads join Tatiana Akl, vice chairperson of Associated Insurance Consultants in the UAE, who continues in her role as regional manager for the Middle East. Akl, who has nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry including 15 years in international benefits consulting across the MENAT region, she also serves as vice chairperson of Associated Alliance Incorporated and manager of Synergy Reinsurance DMCC.
Brokerslink’s regional management structure is designed to facilitate closer collaboration, operational efficiency, and targeted business growth across its markets. Each regional manager leads a dedicated steering team composed of independent broking experts who contribute diverse insights, foster innovation, and advance cross-border business opportunities.
With operations spanning 133 countries, Brokerslink boasts one of the most extensive global footprints among international broking networks, connecting independent brokers, risk consultants, and specialty firms under a unified structure.
Commenting on the appointments, José Manuel Fonseca, president and CEO of Brokerslink, expressed confidence in the new regional leaders’ ability to drive the network’s next growth phase.
