inDrive launches nationwide campaign to celebrate Nigeria’s driver community

Onome Amuge

inDrive, one of the world’s fastest-growing ride-hailing platforms, has launched a nationwide campaign tagged “The Heart That Drives Us” to honour and reward Nigeria’s most dedicated drivers during the festive season. The campaign is set to run from October 13 to December 24, 2025.

The initiative will reward outstanding drivers through raffles and bi-weekly entertainment events, offering prizes such as smartphones, televisions, shopping vouchers, family trips, and school fee sponsorships for their children.

Speaking during the launch, Oladimeji Timothy, country representative for inDrive Nigeria, said the campaign underscores the company’s commitment to empowering and appreciating drivers who form the backbone of its service. According to him, the initiative goes beyond financial rewards to celebrate the human stories behind every ride and to highlight the drivers’ critical role in connecting communities across Nigeria.

“Our drivers are the true heartbeat of our platform. Through The Heart That Drives Us, we want to express our gratitude and celebrate the incredible people behind the wheel — those who work hard, care deeply for their families, and keep our communities connected. At inDrive, our success is built on the dedication of our driver community. This campaign is our way of saying ‘thank you’ and creating moments of joy and recognition for those who make the platform what it is,”Timothy said.

To further energise the campaign, inDrive plans to host bi-weekly live entertainment events featuring celebrity guest appearances, live raffles, and performances. The events will also be streamed every Wednesday on inDrive’s official Facebook page, allowing drivers and their families to join the celebration virtually.

As 2025 draws to a close, The Heart That Drives Us stands as a tribute to Nigeria’s driver community, recognising the men and women whose daily efforts, courage, and compassion keep the nation moving.

Globally, inDrive operates in 888 cities across 48 countries, including nine in Africa. The platform has been downloaded over 240 million times and was the second most downloaded mobility app worldwide in both 2022 and 2023. Beyond ride-hailing, inDrive has expanded into intercity transport, delivery, and venture investments through its New Ventures unit. Its non-profit arm, inVision, continues to promote community empowerment through education, sports, arts, and gender equality initiatives.
