Air Peace’s MMIA executive lounge to elevate premium travel experience

Air Peace’s drive to raise the level of travel experience for its passengers has again been taken one notch up with the launch of its Executive Lounge at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, on an auspicious day.

The largest West and Central Africa carrier chose a day globally celebrated for love and appreciation, February 14, to reaffirm its commitment to cherishing its customers with the grand opening of the lounge at Terminal 2 of the airport.

The Valentine’s Day unveiling symbolised more than a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the carrier said in a statement, adding that it represented its enduring dedication to comfort, excellence, and the continued elevation of premium travel across its expanding network.

The milestone event drew the presence of the airline’s management and staff, members of the press, and esteemed First and Business Class passengers on the airline’s much-talked-about London service.

Among the distinguished guests was Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, who joined in commemorating what marks another significant stride in the airline’s growth story.

Designed to deliver an exceptional pre-flight experience, the state-of-the-art lounge welcomes first and business class passengers into a refined space defined by stylish cream-toned décor and a distinctly modern ambience that blends privacy with sophistication. With a seating capacity of over 39 guests, the lounge features six ergonomically designed recliner chairs that guarantee optimal rest and relaxation.

The facility also includes a fully functional workspace equipped with computer monitors and printing facilities to support official and business needs. Two private areas fitted with tablets and headphones provide guests with a quiet setting for virtual meetings or personal entertainment. An expansive entertainment section, complete with a large television, complements a fully stocked bar offering pastries, soft drinks, and a curated selection of beverages.

Passengers also benefit from an interactive display monitor showcasing real-time flight schedules, company profiles, and product offerings, all within a facility secured by a 24/7 360-degree surveillance system to ensure safety and peace of mind.

Speaking after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Nowel Ngala, chief commercial officer of the airline, described the lounge as a strategic investment in customer experience and brand positioning. He noted that the facility underscores Air Peace’s resolve to provide world-class services comparable to global standards, while reinforcing its leadership across West and Central Africa.

According to him, the executive lounge is not merely an addition to infrastructure but a statement of appreciation to the airline’s loyal premium passengers who continue to trust the brand on domestic, regional, and long-haul routes.

Peter Obi commended the airline for its consistent drive toward innovation and service excellence, highlighting the importance of indigenous carriers investing boldly in infrastructure that enhances Nigeria’s aviation reputation on the global stage.

The unveiling of the lounge signals yet another chapter in Air Peace’s remarkable growth trajectory, said the airline. It noted that for it and its esteemed passengers, the lounge represents comfort, prestige, and an elevated travel experience, an environment where business meets relaxation and every journey begins in style.
