United Nigeria strengthens global footing with IATA Clearing House

United Nigeria strengthens global footing with IATA Clearing House

United Nigeria Airlines has officially been admitted by  the International Air Transport Association (IATA) into its Clearing House (ICH), a move that marks its definitive step towards integration into the global aviation financial ecosystem.

The Nigerian carrier said the admission is effective for transactions originating from February 1, 2026, and allows it to join a prestigious global network of carriers utilizing the ICH for secure and efficient financial settlements.

Accordingly, the development will enable United Nigeria Airlines to settle interline billings — including passenger and cargo transactions — through a secure and centralised global settlement system.

“This admission reinforces our commitment to international best practices and operational transparency. While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships. This development is central to our mission of flying to unite, expand connectivity and provide our passengers with world-class service as we grow our regional and international footprints,” the airline said.
