SeamlessHR, one of Africa’s leading human resources technology companies, has rebranded as Seamless Technologies, marking a strategic shift beyond HR software as it expands into artificial intelligence and embedded financial services.
The company said the transition reflects its ambition to build a broader technology platform that supports businesses and workers across Africa by combining workforce management, financial solutions, procurement technology and AI-driven services under one corporate identity.
Announcing the move recently, Seamless Technologies said it is broadening its focus after establishing a strong presence in the HR technology market. The company plans to address wider business challenges, particularly access to financial services, by enabling employers and employees to access financial products directly within workplace platforms.
The new corporate structure will comprise three core business verticals: SeamlessHR, its workforce management platform; Breeze, an embedded financial services platform offering solutions such as payroll financing, earned wage access and employee self-service; and SeamlessProcure, a procurement platform designed to simplify enterprise purchasing and vendor management.
The company also unveiled BWOP (Blue Collar Operations Platform), a new solution developed for organisations managing frontline and shift-based employees. The platform is intended to complement SeamlessHR by helping businesses digitise attendance management, payroll, workforce records, internal communication and employee self-service across both office-based and frontline workforces.
Supporting the expanded product ecosystem is Samira, the company’s artificial intelligence layer, which is designed to automate routine tasks, provide business insights and improve interactions across its technology platforms.
Emmanuel Okeleji, chief executive officer and co-founder of Seamless Technologies, said the company’s evolution was driven by the need to solve broader challenges facing African businesses and workers.
“This evolution reflects a much bigger opportunity than HR technology alone. As we looked at the challenges facing businesses and workers across Africa, it became clear that access to finance sits at the centre of economic participation and productivity. Our expansion into financial services is a natural extension of our mission, and Seamless Technologies gives us the platform to solve these challenges at a much larger scale,” he said.
Deji Lana, chief technology officer and co-founder, said the future of enterprise technology lies in integrated platforms that combine work, finance and artificial intelligence.
According to him, the company’s growing suite of products is designed to help businesses operate more efficiently while expanding access to financial opportunities for workers.
Irfan Keshavjee, chairman of the company’s advisory board, described the transition as a reflection of the company’s growth and long-term ambitions, noting that the business is moving beyond HR technology into a broader market with opportunities across multiple sectors.
Seamless Technologies said the new corporate identity will support product expansion and future international growth while allowing each of its product brands to maintain its market positioning.
The company currently serves more than 1,500 medium and large organisations across Africa and operates from Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya.
According to the company, it has raised more than $20 million in funding to accelerate innovation across its technology platform and support its expansion strategy aimed at improving productivity, expanding financial access and creating economic opportunities for businesses and workers across the continent.
