Radisson Hotel Group has launched a new long-stay programme designed to make it easier for companies to book hotel rooms and apartment-style units for workers who need accommodation for weeks or months.
The programme, called Long Stays by Radisson Hotels, is aimed mainly at businesses, travel management companies and other corporate partners that arrange accommodation for employees on longer assignments.
Radisson said the hotels apartment will be a more organised system for long-stay bookings, with standard booking conditions, dedicated rates and agreed commission arrangements and under the arrangement, companies will not need to negotiate separate long-stay agreements with individual hotels each time they need accommodation for their workers.
The company said the offering is designed to make long-stay bookings easier to arrange and manage while giving guests a more consistent experience across participating hotels.
The programme is aimed at companies that need accommodation for workers involved in international assignments, infrastructure projects, consulting work, healthcare placements and other jobs that require employees to remain in a location for an extended period.
Radisson said participating hotels will provide services suited to longer stays, including hotel contacts, help with planning before arrival, flexible housekeeping and in-room facilities designed for extended use.
Radisson further stated that the arrangement is intended to give long-stay guests a more comfortable and home-like experience while allowing companies to manage their accommodation needs more easily.Â
Gianni Di Fede, chief commercial officer at Radisson Hotel Group, explained that the programme gives the group’s partners a simpler and more competitive way to access the growing long-stay market. The offering will also introduce a pricing structure based on the length of stay, with different rates and conditions for long-stay bookings.
Eligible customers will also receive an additional 20 percent points incentive through the Radisson Rewards programme on long-stay bookings, according to the company.
The programme will work with existing booking channels used by corporate travel buyers, including global distribution systems and existing corporate agreements.
Radisson also identified some countries like Dubai, Riyadh, Zurich and Amsterdam as areas where demand for extended stays is strong, which is now available at participating hotels across its portfolio.
This new development is quite different from a normal hotel booking for a night or a few days, the long-stay model is built around people who may need accommodation for several weeks or months, making it particularly useful for companies managing workers on extended assignments.
