FairMoney Microfinance Bank has renewed its commitment to improving customer experience as the lender marks Customer Service Week 2026, with a pledge to make banking services simpler, more responsive and rewarding for its customers.
The bank, which joined financial institutions and businesses globally in commemorating the annual customer-service observance, said this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” underscores the importance of going beyond routine transaction support to understand customers’ needs and deliver meaningful solutions.
Henry Obiekea, managing director, FairMoney Microfinance Bank, said the lender’s approach to customer service would be anchored on listening, responsiveness and continuous improvement.
In a message to customers, Obiekea expressed appreciation for their continued trust and patronage, noting that interactions between customers and financial institutions often extend beyond routine transactions.
“As we celebrate Customer Service Week, I want to begin with a simple but important message: thank you for choosing FairMoney,” he said.
According to him, customers’ engagements with financial institutions can involve urgent financial needs, savings, payment cards and issues requiring timely resolution, making responsive customer support an important part of the banking relationship.
He said customers deserved to be heard, treated with respect and provided with clear and helpful support, while acknowledging that service providers may not always get every interaction right.
Obiekea stated that FairMoney would treat complaints, concerns and customer conversations as opportunities to identify weaknesses and improve its service delivery.
“Your feedback helps us identify where we need to improve and build a better banking experience for you,” he said.
The managing director also recognised the contribution of FairMoney’s customer service teams and employees working behind the scenes to support customers and maintain service delivery.
He said Customer Service Week provided an opportunity not only to recognise frontline employees but also to reinforce the bank’s wider organisational commitment to customer experience.
The lender said its “extra mile” approach would extend beyond the annual celebration, with customer needs and feedback expected to remain central to its everyday operations.
“Thank you for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to serve you. We will continue going the extra mile for you, not only during Customer Service Week, but every day,” Obiekea added.
