The APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole said voting for the APC and Buhari in the 2019 general elections is a way out of economic hardship and poverty.
Oshiomhole during the APC flag- off campaign held at the Jos Township Stadium while receiving some new members who defected to the party said “the APC is pro-poor, we are here to receive these people of character and vision who have joined our party because of our leadership style.
Persuading voters to vote for APC he said “Atiku said he will sell NNPC, he presided over the liquidation of the Nigerian Airways without paying workers, will you support Nigeria to be on sale? Say no to PDP. Poverty is not an act of God, Buhari is a man of integrity, even in your moment of hunger, you should not mortgage your votes. “
Director General of the Buhari Campaign Rotimi Amaechi who also addressed supporters at the Stadium said the key to governance is addressing human capital development and the issue of poverty.
” If a poor man is not allowed access to education there will be insecurity. For 16 years PDP could not give us power but now we have 7000 MW power”.
Amaechi while maintaining that their campaign will be issues based said ” this election is not about Atiku and Buhari, the election is between the rich and the poor, PDP is the party for the rich, APC is the party for the poor. We have been in power for three and half years, we will challenge them with what they have achieved for 16 years , hold them for what is going on, they left an empty purse”.
Meanwhile the Senior Special Assistant of Buhari on Job creation Afolabi Imoukhuede said a good number of Plateau people are benefiting from the Social Investment Program of the Federal Government.
Imoukhuede during the APC campaign said ” over 12,000 youths are benefiting from N-power as N2.4 Billion comes into the state economy, 8000 others have been added to Plateau in the batch B. Two million others are benefiting from Government Enterprise Empowerment Program (GEEP)”.
