Temi Shenjobi, founder of the Simply Nigerian Fair (SNF), said that the just concluded 6th edition of the fair was organised to help provide a platform for local business owners a ready market, improve the quality of products to meet international standards for export and contribute its quota towards reducing the burden of doing business in the country.
Shenjobi, while speaking to business a.m. added that despite the online presence these business owners have, it has also created an avenue for them to meet with their customers to have more sales, engage and collaborate with other business owners.
She revealed that part of the fair created a platform where prospective business owners and existing ones had the opportunity to get their businesses registered and some training programmes were organised to keep them abreast of the trends in doing business in the country.

The seventy vendors who registered for the fair showcased products ranging from leather works, local fabric materials, locally sourced skin and beauty products, pastries and confectioneries, interiors decors, fresh agric produce, among others.
“We started off for entrepreneurs who were looking for different ways of projecting their businesses and managing what we were doing because we found out that doing business in Nigeria was very difficult, so we thought that lots of people can’t afford shops and sometimes, the clients want to meet you face to face and so we said why don’t we have a pop-up event where people can actually come and view what others are doing so we decided to get together and start off,” Shenjobi said.
