The lingering feud between the Nigerian Postal Service and the Federal Inland Revenue Service over the collection of stamp duties is on the verge of being resolved.
Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy, gave the indication in Abuja on Thursday night..
NIPOST and the FIRS have been at each other’s jugular over stamp duty collection mandate, with the fight taking a turn for the worse when the heads of the two agencies took to twitter to exchanges salvos.
Pantami said he had sent a memo to the president as well as being in consultation with other top government officials on the way out.
While addressing jthe press in commemoration of his one year anniversary in office, Pantami said he had engaged the minister of finance, budget and national planning twice on the matter.
