Lasvit, the UK-based global leader in glass-to-light transformation and design experience, has bestowed on the architecture masterpiece of Nestoil Limited headquarters in Lagos, Nestoil Tower, its insignia of excellence.

The building is adorned with the Black Gold Chandelier by Lasvit, but the award represents the investiture of Lasvit’s aesthetic tradition and craft on the Tower. Nnaji Igwe, associate director at Nestoil, received the award from Roman Zakovsky, manager of Lasvit (UK) Limited at a reception in Lagos.

The iconic tower, which was adjudged winner in the keenly contested Commercial High-Rise Development category of the 2016-17 African-Arabian Property Awards, offers a panoramic view of Eko Atlantic City and the Atlantic Ocean from its location in Victoria Island, Lagos. Since its completion, the building has enjoyed positive reviews and received commendations for its innovative outlook and unconventional architectural design.

With Lasvit throwing its history of authenticity in glass craft, coupled with innovative technologies and creative craftsmanship behind the architectural masterpiece, Nestoil Tower remains one of the most contemporary office buildings in West Africa.

Nnaji Igwe, associate director at Nestoil, received the award from Roman Zakovsky, manager of Lasvit (UK) Limited at a reception in Lagos.

Occupying 3900 square metres of land, the fifteen-floor, one-of-a-kind development is targeted at dynamic businesses, multi-national industries and financial institutions seeking appropriate brand positioning and proximity to their target market. Built by Julius Berger, the global construction giant, the building is Nigeria’s pioneer ‘green’ building and the first ‘green’ building in West Africa to attain the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standard Certification (Silver), which is an indication of Nestoil’s commitment to good environmental practices.

This endorsement by Lasvit, the winner of the 2016 Harper’s Bazaar Interiors Awards (Best Lighting Brand Category) attests to the quality of lightings and fittings in the buildings. Lasvit is a manufacturer of unique works of glass, including bespoke lighting installations and collections. In a few short years, Lasvit has established itself as the authority delivering bespoke lighting sculptures and art installations made from hand-blown glass and expertise of an outstanding team of glassmakers, leveraging the thousand year legacy of traditional Bohemian craft.

Some of Lasvit’s coveted works are found in the world’s most exclusive hotels, from Paris to New York and from Hong Kong to Seoul, also include trophies for international championship, like the Mudabala World Tennis Championship in 2015 and President’s Tennis Tournament in Astana. The company is firmly established in the UAE and its installations adorn the interiors of exclusive hotels such as Dubai Opera, Rosewood and St. Regis hotels as well as several discerning private residences.
