The available job vacancies are based in several countries amongst which are South Africa, Madagascar, Cote D’Ivoire, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Morocco.
The bank added that it would not accept candidates with dual nationality. It, therefore, required applicants to declare the nationality they would like to be considered by the bank throughout their career if hired.
AfDB asked interested and qualified candidates to apply at http://www.afdb.org, urging them to upload “supporting government-issued IDs such as passport, National Identity Card or Certificate”.
“Applicants who fully meet the bank’s requirements and are considered for further assessment will be contacted. Applicants should submit a concise Curriculum Vitae (CV) and any additional documents that may be stated as required,” AfDB said.
The bank said the AfDB president reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level.
It encouraged female candidates to apply, describing itself as an equal opportunities employer.
“AfDB does not ask for payments of any kind from applicants throughout the recruitment process (job application, CV review, interview meeting, and final processing of applications),” the bank said.
It also emphasised that “it does not request information on applicants’ bank accounts”.
