Ecobank, FBNQuest, GTBank, Parthian Partners sponsor financial markets conference

The Sixth Annual Financial Markets Conference will be held on Wednesday, 2 November, 2022 with the theme “Impact of Monetary Policy Framework and Liquid Market on the Economy”.

Ecobank, a regional commercial bank; FBNQuest, the unified brand identity of FBNHoldings Plc’s merchant banking and asset management businesses; GTBank, a leading African bank; and Parthian Partners, the first Nigeria inter-dealer broker and a market leader, are the sponsors of event.

Mary Gbegbaje, acting executive secretary, Financial Markets Dealers Association of Nigeria, said in a statement that the conference was designed to provide an opportunity for financial market participants, regulators, investors, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss potential ways to use financial market infrastructure to facilitate the deepening and development of the Nigerian economy.

The programme, billed to hold at Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, will provide a veritable avenue for the participants to exchange ideas that would promote sustainable business and economic growth with erudite speakers sharing opinions on topical areas.

Bayo Adeyemo, the Association’s president, will give the opening remarks, while Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede will deliver the keynote address. Sere-Ejembi, director, financial markets department of the Central Bank of Nigeria, will speak on “The Regulatory Framework and its Effect on Liquid Markets”; Bukola Smith, managing director/CEO, FSDH Merchant Bank Ltd., will discuss “Risk Management as Effective Tools to Drive Liquidity and Transparency”; and Ayo Teriba will speak on “National Economic Outlook and Essential Tools for Participation in Global Financial Markets”.

Additionally, Daria Derggunova, Bloomberg’s Emerging Markets Trading manager, will speak on “Market Infrastructural Development: A Tool for Financial Markets Deepening and Recovery”.

The event will be anchored by Zeal Akaraiwe, MD/CEO, Graeme Blaque Advisory.
