Damian Igwe, corporate affairs manager, International Breweries plc, while presenting the items to the people, commiserated with them and the Anambra State government on the loss of human lives and properties.

According to Igwe, “This is one of our corporate social responsibility interventions, aimed at supporting the displaced persons in Ogbaru LGA, through the donation of relief materials, majorly groceries.

“We are moved by the pain of the people and are only demonstrating the compassion that a socially responsible organisation should demonstrate at a time like this”

Fidelis Igwe, plant manager, International Breweries Plc, noted that the Ogbaru community has been a good host to the company, adding that the company saw it as its responsibility to support them during this trying period.

According to Okosa, the two buildings housing the displaced communities  were donated by Chuchu Onyema, member, representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives and has been fully occupied with about 1,046 displaced persons from 647 households.
