In recognition of World Food Day, Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited (AFSH) has joined the global community in celebrating this important day by pledging its dedication to promoting agricultural development and improving the lives of  Nigerians through its nutritious protein products.

Ayoola Oduntan, group managing director of the leading animal protein producer in Nigeria, emphasised the company’s commitment to growing agriculture in Nigeria and increasing access to animal protein through its day-old chicks, broiler, noiler, and point of lay pullets.

According to Oduntan, providing more access to chicken and eggs in rural communities through AFSH’s noiler bird will reduce child stunting, malnutrition, and improve overall health.

Oduntan explained that AFSH currently produces over one million day-old chicks, including layer, broiler, and its own innovation noiler, per week from its various hatcheries across Nigeria. He also stated that AFSH plans to increase its production by 30 per cent on a year-on-year basis to meet the growing demand for animal protein in Nigeria.

“We believe that the development of Nigeria is a joint effort between the government and the private sector, and we must all work together to build our country. We have made our impact felt by reaching over 1.3 million smallholder rural households with noiler farming, empowering women, and helping to create sustainable livelihoods. We believe that noiler birds can play a vital role in ensuring food security in Nigeria and other African countries,” he added.

On the occasion of the International Day for Poverty Eradication, also known as End Poverty Day, celebrated annually on October 17th, Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited (AFSH) has reaffirmed its commitment to provide rural women with decent work and social protection through its Noiler farming programme.

Oduntan described  noiler farming as a low-cost, high-return enterprise that can empower women with a sustainable income, access to protein, and improved livelihoods. The company, he said, is determined to make a positive impact on rural women’s lives through its innovative noiler farming programme.
