Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL), one of the leading car manufacturers in the country, has taken vehicle maintenance to a whole new level with the launch of a new range of automobile enhancement products. The launch event, which took place in Lagos, was held in partnership with renowned global manufacturers of the products, and was in response to the demands of Toyota’s customers for quality vehicle maintenance products.

The launch of the new range of vehicle enhancement products comes just a few months after Toyota introduced the Toyota Genuine Motor Oil, a high-quality lubricant suitable for all types of vehicle engines.

The new product range includes cleaning and protection products from Jewelultra Diamondbrite, as well as solid surface repair tools and innovative sanding products from Mirka. These products are designed to provide a comprehensive range of solutions for keeping vehicles clean, protected, and looking their best.

Kunle Ade-Ojo, managing director at the TNL, said at the event that the company embarked on the project in line with its tradition of pushing barriers to satisfy its teeming customers.

He said, “Today we are introducing vehicle body enhancement products to cater to the needs of those who may not be ready to purchase new vehicles but want their vehicles to look well-kept.

“These products are also useful for customers who just want to maintain the interior and external brilliance of their vehicles.”

Speaking specifically on the products, the TNL MD said the Jewelultra Diamondbrite collections help in combating the daily onslaught of dirt, UV-rays, acid rain and contaminants that could affect the internal and external glow of a vehicle.

Ade-Ojo went on to explain that the treatment comes with a guarantee, providing vehicle owners with the peace of mind that their investment is protected. He noted that the extra layer of protection not only enhances the vehicle’s resale value, but also maintains its aesthetic appeal.

The HBC Smart repair systems, he explained, are comprehensive tools used for minor cosmetic repairs on vehicles. This includes the interior, as well as dent and spot repairs.

Ade-Ojo added that the HBC promotes sustainability by extending the life of vehicle parts, reducing waste, and avoiding the need for extensive repairs. He explained that the Mirka products offer high-performance abrasives and power tools that are durable and provide a flawless finish. This attention to detail, he noted, is in line with Toyota’s commitment to quality and excellence.

“The products are also perfect for professional solid surfaces and innovative sanding and are produced with the consideration of reducing environmental impact across their product range.

“As a matter of fact, they offer the best and most efficient sanding experience.

“The company enhances professional work with outstanding customer support, technical guidance, and training,” Ade-Ojo said.

He also spoke on the Duxone and Standox products, which he noted as reputed for matchless refinishing.

In addition to the HBC and Mirka products, Ade-Ojo highlighted the company’s coatings systems, which provide high-quality paint technology and long-lasting durability. He noted that the Standox coating system offers precise colour matching and reduced solvent emissions, making it an eco-friendly option. It also offers extensive support and training to users, ensuring excellent results.

Duxone, he added, is the company’s most advanced product, offering a dependable all-round paint system designed for body shops looking for value for money.

“The Duxone system is efficient and easy to use, and it delivers good quality at a very competitive price.

“Additionally, Duxone products are versatile, suitable for a variety of surfaces and materials leading to fewer application mistakes,” he stated.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentations by top officials from the manufacturers of the products. Fadi Medlej, business territory director for Central East Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa at Axalta Coating Systems, spoke about the company’s status as the number one auto refinish globally, available in 140 countries. He explained that Axalta decided to come to Nigeria as part of its expansion plans and found a reliable partner in Toyota Nigeria Limited.

Tamirat Yigzaw, sales excellence manager at Mirka Limited, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary, presented on the company’s role as a solutions provider, offering the right products for quality jobs and saving time and money.

Anand Ramachandran, business manager for Refinish Systems at Mirka, also spoke about the value of the partnership between Mirka and Toyota Nigeria, emphasising the benefits to customers in terms of peace of mind and quality.

Dealers and leaders from Toyota Nigeria Limited’s network were present at the event, along with members of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) and dealers of new vehicle parts and accessories in Lagos. The wide range of attendees indicated the importance of the event for the automotive industry in Nigeria.
