Abdul Samad Rabiu, a renowned industrialist, philanthropist and founder of BUA Group, one of Africa’s leading conglomerates,, has extended a generous donation of N2 billion to aid the victims and support recovery efforts in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, which was hit by devastating floods recently.
The contribution comes in response to the call made by President Bola Tinubu for the private sector to lend support to the flood victims and to aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected areas of Borno State.
The donation comprises N1 billion in cash and N1 billion worth of essential food supplies, with the aim of providing relief and assistance to the displaced persons and communities affected by the devastating floods. In addition to the food items, a N1 billion cash donation was presented to the Borno State government through the governor, in order to facilitate a swift distribution of aid to those affected by the floods.

“This N2 billion donation to the victims of the recent flooding in Borno is one way of supporting the most vulnerable in times of crisis.”
