The eighth edition of the Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC), a premier event that brings together leading players in the oil and gas industry will be held in Lagos, Nigeria, from February 13-15, 2024. The venue of choice for the prestigious event is the Eko Convention Center, a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to provide a fitting backdrop for the gathering of industry experts and leaders in the oil and gas industry.
“Under the banner of “The Next Steps: Accelerating African Content”, the conference will explore the future of the African oil and gas sector, showcasing billions of dollars of project opportunities. The conference, organised by The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), and co-hosted by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), and NNPC Limited, will serve as a catalyst for accelerating African content in the oil and gas industry, bringing together key players from across the continent and beyond to discuss the latest developments and challenges facing the sector.
With a strong focus on promoting local content and developing the African oil and gas sector, SAIPEC is an annual gathering that attracts a diverse range of participants. The event brings together more than 30 national oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), governments, and regulators from around the world, making it a truly global gathering. This year’s conference is expected to attract even more attendees than the previous year, with over 6,000 people from 51 countries expected to participate.
Over five days, the full SAIPEC programme would feature numerous business-to-business (B2B) networking and partnership opportunities. The 3rd African Content Series seminar on 12 February is just one example of the focused, intimate events that precede the main conference. In addition to the seminar, there will be various receptions, workshops, and networking sessions throughout the conference. These opportunities will allow delegates to connect with a diverse range of industry players, including NOCs, IOCs, regulators, governments, and private sector representatives.
