Air Peace will suspend further flights to Dubai from tomorrow November 22 until further notice as the decision of the authorities of the United Arab Emirates to suspend issuance of visas for travel to Nigerians takes a huge toll of its operations.
Air Peace said it has been operating into the UAE even with the country’s recent travel restrictions, but given the heightening hurdles Nigerian travellers are facing in accessing the country, it has become imperative that ‘we halt our operations to that destination.
“We shall provide further updates as the situation progresses,” it stated.
The airline urged passengers whose flights are affected by this development to mail its Call Center Team- callcenter@flyairpeace.com- to attend to their concerns.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) had in October, slammed a visa ban on Nigerians seeking to visit Dubai.
The ban was conveyed in a notice issued to the country’s trade partners in Nigeria, including travel agents.
“All Previously submitted Applications are currently on hold. Kindly note this is beyond our control . We will update Once visas start getting Approved,” the Destination Management Companies licensed to issue electronic visas to UAE said in a statement annuncing that Dubai immigration has stopped approving visas for Nigerians at the moment.
