Berger Paints unveils new logo to boost global identity

Berger Paints Nigeria Plc, a leading brand in the coating and allied industry,has launched a new logo in a bold move to reposition the company for global competitiveness, increase earnings and boost shareholder value.
Business A.M gathered that Berger Paint’s decision to refresh its brand identity was made after careful consideration of its vision and positioning. The company explained that its old logo no longer aligns with its new direction, creating the need to be more modern and accessible to its target audience.
The company noted that the change will enable it to better communicate its brand values and enhance its competitiveness in the ever-evolving business landscape.

Abi Ayida, chairman of the company,in a statement, explained that the logo change was consistent with the future that the firm was envisioning.
“Just like everything in life, there is a time when you refresh, modernise and update. It is the same way we do as human beings. I think there is also a natural lifespan in the company’s image and its identity and touchpoint,” he added.
Ayida observed that the demography of the company’s stakeholders are changing, noting that it wants the changes to be updated in a more memorable way to reduce the uncertainties.
“Government should create an operating environment that removes uncertainties for manufacturers. This will enable us to plan. We want to be able to operate within an environment without huge shocks to the system, “the chairman added.
On his part, Alaba Fagun,managing director and chief executive officer, Berger paints, said that the paint firm was repositioning itself to take over the African market. He also noted that Berger Paints has been in existence for over 60 years as a frontline indigenous company.
“We produce our paints here, we don’t import it. In making our paints, we look at the terrain, the atmosphere and all the different peculiarities you would get in Nigeria to produce our paints,” he added.
