Concessionaires and operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, said it has fortified its security infrastructure with additional measures to complement the existing surveillance system at the terminal.
Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, spokesperson of Bi-Courtney, in a statement, disclosed that it recently achieved the deployment of highly trained security personnel and conducted Security Awareness Training for all tenants and secondary concessionaires in the terminal.
It reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and visitors within and around the terminal.
BASL stated that MMA2 has long maintained a robust surveillance system, including CCTV cameras, which have been pivotal in addressing customer complaints and theft claims effectively, thus ensuring a safe and secure environment.
“These enhancements, alongside our existing CCTV surveillance, have yielded significant results in addressing alleged theft incidents within and around the terminal. Our comprehensive security measures have played a crucial role in identifying and apprehending individuals involved in criminal activities, thereby deterring future incidents, and fostering a safer environment for all. We acknowledge the importance of upholding a secure and reliable environment for our passengers and stakeholders, and we remain dedicated to continually enhancing our security protocols to effectively counter evolving threats.
