President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday appointed Muiz Banire, Senor Advocate of Nigeria and former legal adviser of the ruling All Progressives Congress, as chairman of the governing board of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria.
Banire’s appointment comes along other appointments by the president Tuesday, including the chairman and 12 commissioners of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
Bukola Saraki, President of the Senate, at the plenary Tuesday, read Buhari’s letters to the legislature in which he sought the confirmation of Banire and the 13 members of the Federal Civil Service Commission.
“A lot of people are expecting that the capacity of the individuals on the Police Service Commission will support the police to carry out the necessary reform that is required, particularly in ensuring that we drive a performance driven police force.”
