The management team of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two Ikeja (MMA2), has donated alcohol-based Sanitizer to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

Tagged Corporate Social Responsibility Outreach, the team led by Nafisat Adeniran, BASL head of safety, stated that the sanitizer would provide extra protection for medical officers responsible for administering care to patients. She further emphasised that this gesture demonstrates appreciation towards LASUTH for consistently accepting BASL’s emergency referrals.

She said a strategic partnership between BASL and LASUTH would be leveraged to make further important interventions when necessary.

Also on the BASL team at the event was Blessing Ewah, head, operations.

The BASL team was received by the management team of LASUTH, led by Adetokunbo Fabamwo, professor and chief medical director.

Other members of his team were Adebowale Adekoya, professor and director, clinical services and training; Elizabeth Ashaolu, head of IPC; and Adebola Aina, chief of nursing services.

In his remarks, Fabamwo said the token donation was much more valuable to clinical services than what many would think.

He said while the institution enjoys state of the art medical equipment and tools, supportive gestures as the donation were also necessary for consolidation.

He said by the gesture, BASL has demonstrated the spirit of good neighbourliness, which must be reciprocated whenever the opportunity presents itself.

“Luckily, the donation is coming at a time when there is a newly discovered strain of Covid, making it more useful at this time,” he said.
