Last time around, yours truly asked readers to be prepared to take advantage of opportunities that were to come up this month and beyond.
Prior to then, I wrote on the need to grab a piece of the national cake by putting at least five thousand naira away in savings each and every month. That was meant to be for investment purposes. Trust you’re doing your bit. It’s not even late to start this month end.
Here’s the thing, by the time you’re reading this piece on Easter Monday or later in the week, one of the opportunities mentioned in my last piece would have been on the table. In other words, the offer for subscription for this month’s Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) Savings Bond would have been up and running.
Exciting as that may be for the savvy investor, what’s even more exciting is that you too can still be part of it. However, you need to show your hand sooner than later. Ideally, by noon on Friday, 10th. So , if you’ve got just five thousand Naira ( N5,000) stashed away in a savings or investing account, pull it out and put the thing in this offer. You may wish to thank me later.
How did you perform in the last quarter?
A chapter in one of Jack Canfield’s books that I am currently reading is dedicated to keeping score of things. In it, the New York Times Bestselling author noted that we get more of what we keep score of.
As you may know, the first quarter of this year just rolled by. So, what was your performance like? Have you even taken time out to look back on your financial goals? If you haven’t, please do a review right away.
I was doing a mini review of my spending a couple of weeks ago and I felt the need to rein in a strand of the outgoings. Thank God, I did. By the end of this second week of this second quarter, I hope to have done a full review of how the first quarter panned out. Please don’t forget to do yours.
