Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, the sole distributor of JAC vehicles in Nigeria, has expanded its portfolio in the country’s automobile market with the official unveiling of two new models—the JAC T9 Pickup and the JAC JS8 PRO SUV, during a grand launch ceremony recently held in Lagos.

The unveiling marks a fresh chapter in the company’s drive to strengthen its presence in Nigeria through vehicles that merge durability, technology, and comfort for both business and family use.

Speaking at the event, Oye Hassan-Odukale, chairman of Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, described the launch as a reaffirmation of the company’s mission to connect customers with vehicles that embody performance, reliability, and style, backed by robust after-sales support.

“We affirm our promise to deliver vehicles that Nigerians can trust, enjoy, and be proud to own. As we unveil the T9 and JS8 PRO, I invite everyone to experience the performance and distinction these models bring. They are remarkable additions to our growing family,” he said.

The JAC T9 Pickup, which represents JAC Motors’ third-generation pickup platform, is built on more than 60 years of chassis design expertise. It comes equipped with a turbocharged engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 3,500kg towing capacity, positioning it as one of the most powerful and versatile pickups in its segment.

In terms of safety, the T9 features a high-strength cage body, six airbags, and multi-layer anti-collision beams. The vehicle also brings luxury to utility with a 10.4-inch touchscreen display, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging, offering a balance of technology, comfort, and practicality.

Also introduced at the launch was the JAC JS8 PRO SUV, a premium seven-seater model designed for families and professionals seeking both space and sophistication. With a dual 24.6-inch display screen, panoramic sunroof, independent third-row air conditioning, and more than 2,000 liters of trunk space when seats are folded, the JS8 PRO blends aesthetics with functionality.

Its efficient yet powerful engine delivers an impressive 7.9L/100km fuel consumption rate, striking a balance between performance and economy for daily use.

According to Olumide Olaokun, senior brand manager at Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, the new models were developed with the Nigerian consumer in mind.

“Both vehicles combine rugged reliability with modern luxury. When you choose the JAC T9 or JS8 PRO, you’re choosing durability, safety, and comfort that meet global standards,” Olaokun stated.

Similarly, Demola Ade-Ojo, managing director and chief executive officer of Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, highlighted the company’s long-term commitment to the Nigerian market, noting that innovation, affordability, and customer satisfaction remain the pillars of the brand’s operations.

He noted that the T9 and JS8 PRO embody the latest global automotive advancements, including advanced digital displays, refined engine technologies, and modern design aesthetics.

“Our goal is to keep Nigerians inspired with vehicles that combine technology, performance, and design; at the right value,” Ade-Ojo explained.

He further disclosed that Elizade JAC Autoland is introducing several customer-focused initiatives aimed at making vehicle ownership easier. These include Auto Protect, an extended warranty programme that stretches from three years/100,000km to five years/150,000km, and flexible instalment payment options through partnerships with financial institutions.

Also speaking at the event, Bruce Zhao, sales manager for West Africa at JAC International, said the launch represents another milestone in JAC Motors’ global journey, reflecting the company’s dedication to innovation and excellence.

“JAC Motors is one of the most trusted automobile brands in China, with a 61-year legacy of serving markets around the world. The introduction of these models in Nigeria demonstrates our confidence in this market and our continued commitment to delivering quality and innovation,” Zhao remarked.

The event attracted government officials, industry leaders, managing directors of top companies, car dealers, and brand ambassadors. The ceremony also featured a special moment in which Michael Ade-Ojo, founder of Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, was presented with a brand-new RF8 Hybrid Electric Vehicle in recognition of his enduring contributions and pioneering legacy in the Nigerian auto industry.

With the launch of the T9 Pickup and JS8 PRO SUV, Elizade JAC Autoland and JAC Motors reaffirm their commitment to offering vehicles that meet the evolving needs of Nigerian drivers combining rugged performance for local terrain with the modern comfort and technology demanded by today’s consumers.
