Equity Assurance has announced that it has been granted approval by the Nigeria Stock Exchange for extension of time to file its 2018 first quarter unaudited financial statement not later than 31st May 2018.
In a statement released by the company, John Akujieze, the company’s secretary, explained that “the extension was granted to allow the company’s primary regulators (National Insurance Commission) approve the company’s audited financial statement for the year ended December 2017, which had been earlier submitted to the regulators.”
He added that “the company is committed to the submission and publication of the quarterly financial statement as soon as the commission approves their 2017 financial statement.”
In 2016, the company reported a negative 52 percent year on year loss before tax of N242.4 million, even after a gross premium of N4.8 billion and net premium income of N3.5billion.
