In a landmark partnership worth N1 billion, the Federal Government of Nigeria and IHS Towers are teaming up to establish a technical talent learning community that aims to provide three million Nigerians with digital skills training. The partnership will be implemented by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, and is expected to provide much-needed digital skills to help Nigeria’s economy grow.
Bosun Tijani, the minister of communications, innovation and digital economy, who announced the development recently, said the 3MTT programme was recently launched to facilitate the establishment of learning communities in all 36 states in Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Tijani noted that through these communities, the 3MTT participants will have the opportunity to meet on a weekly basis, learn new skills, collaborate with each other, and work on joint projects.
