Heirs Life, Heirs Insurance create platform to restructure insurance claims payment

Heirs Life Assurance, the digital life insurance company, is partnering with sister insurer, Heirs Insurance, a general  insurance provider, to revolutionise insurance claims payment through the establishment of a fast claims feature to support insurance brokers and other insurance consumers in dealing with challenges associated with insurance claims payment, a situation the companies observed had remained a major pain point in the insurance industry.

Addressing members of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Abuja Area Committee, at a meeting organised by the companies in Abuja, Niyi Onifade, managing director of Heirs Life Assurance, informed the brokers that Heirs Life Assurance and Heirs Insurance had rolled out the fast claims feature to support brokers and customers in dealing with challenges with insurance claims.

He added that the companies had set up three major pillars at the core of their operations to ensure improved functionality.

On her part, Adaobi Nwakuche, acting managing director of Heirs Insurance, said both companies have put structures in place for customers, to make the process of claims as easy as getting a quote, based on the understanding that the business of insurance is about trust.

Nwakuche also pledged improved service deliveries and a better relationship with brokers and  the entire NCRIB body.

Owolabi Abbass,  chairman of the NCRIB Abuja Area Committee, in his remarks, noted that claims settlement had been a major challenge in the Nigerian insurance industry.

He, however, said the brokers were pleased that Heirs Insurance and Heirs Life were delivering on their promise of fast claims service.

“We fully support this and we will collaborate to make this process better,” he added.
