Infinix redefines slim with record-breaking HOT 60 Pro+

As smartphones continue to shape modern life and manufacturers battle to stay ahead through slimmer designs and smarter features, Infinix has etched its name on the global stage with a record-breaking achievement.

The company’s latest device, the HOT 60 Pro+, has officially been certified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ as the World’s Thinnest 3D Curved Display Smartphone, measuring just 5.95mm at its slimmest point. The recognition sets a new benchmark in smartphone design and underscores Infinix’s growing influence in the global mobile industry.

The certification ceremony took place in Indonesia, aligning with the local market launch of the HOT 60 Pro+. For Infinix, the award is both a celebration of innovation and a validation of its design philosophy.

Tony Zhao, chief executive officer of Infinix, said the achievement reflects more than just engineering precision.
“The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ not only achieves a balance between slimness and performance, but also reflects our continued exploration in smartphone innovation. Being officially certified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ is a recognition of the Infinix team’s efforts and reinforces our commitment to continuous breakthroughs on the global stage.”

“Through achievements like this, we hope to enable young users around the world to enjoy a more inspiring and enjoyable tech lifestyle,”Zhao added.

The record was validated through independent testing by an ILAC-accredited laboratory, where laser measurements were taken at ten points on the device. Results confirmed a thickness of 5.95mm at its thinnest and 6.09mm at its thickest, with the latter adopted as the official benchmark. This rigorous process ensured the credibility of the Guinness World Records™ title.

Despite its ultra-slim profile, the HOT 60 Pro+ delivers a full-featured smartphone experience. It comes with an AMOLED curved display, runs on the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset, and integrates a compact but durable battery supported by 45W fast charging. The design reflects Infinix’s brand promise of “Tech for Enjoyment,” which blends performance, aesthetics, and user-friendly innovation tailored to young, style-conscious consumers.

Since its founding in 2013, Infinix has grown into one of the most recognised smartphone brands in Nigeria and across emerging markets. Present in more than 70 countries, the brand has built a strong reputation for affordability without compromising on innovation. The Guinness recognition highlights its evolution from a mass-market challenger to a global player setting new standards in mobile design.

Kaoru Ishikawa, vice president of Guinness World Records for Japan and Southeast Asia, said the recognition was not only a win for Infinix but also a celebration of innovation at the global stage.

“We are delighted to award the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title as the World’s Thinnest 3D Curved Display Smartphone. This achievement demonstrates Infinix’s relentless pursuit of innovation and sets a new standard in smartphone design.”

With this achievement, Infinix has positioned itself not just as a brand competing on price and accessibility, but as one shaping global conversations in mobile design bringing technology that resonates with the needs and aspirations of young consumers in Nigeria and around the world.
