LG Electronics, a global leader in household and commercial electronics, has unveiled its latest HVAC technologies at the Annual LG HVAC Consultant Leaders’ Summit held in Lagos.
The event showcased the company’s new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System and Multi V 5 air quality solution, both designed to optimise heating and cooling in high-rise buildings, hospitals, and airports.
LG’s product managers provided detailed presentations, highlighting the energy efficiency, flexible installation options, and seamless integration of their systems, making them ideal for a variety of commercial environments, such as hotels, hospitals, and industrial facilities.

Joonkyu Song, general manager of Air Solutions at LG Electronics, highlighted the growing need for innovative HVAC solutions in Africa, driven by rapid urbanisation and an increase in commercial construction projects. “With the boom in commercial construction, the demand for smart, energy-efficient HVAC systems has never been greater. Our latest technologies offer unmatched performance while supporting our sustainability goals,”he said.
Song also emphasised the significance of the Multi V 5 air quality solution, calling it a breakthrough for both energy efficiency and wellness. “This system enables building managers to maintain optimal air quality while reducing energy consumption. We believe that healthier indoor environments are crucial for improving productivity and well-being, particularly in places like hospitals and schools.”
Further, Song spoke about LG’s commitment to education and training, noting the opening of the company’s B2B Academy in Lagos. “Our academy reflects our dedication to developing the next generation of HVAC professionals. Innovation is not just about technology; it’s about empowering people with the skills to implement these solutions effectively,” he added.
