LG Electronics, a global leader in household and commercial electronics, has unveiled its latest HVAC technologies at the Annual LG HVAC Consultant Leaders’ Summit held in Lagos.

The event showcased the company’s new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System and Multi V 5 air quality solution, both designed to optimise heating and cooling in high-rise buildings, hospitals, and airports.

LG’s product managers provided detailed presentations, highlighting the energy efficiency, flexible installation options, and seamless integration of their systems, making them ideal for a variety of commercial environments, such as hotels, hospitals, and industrial facilities.

Africa’s growing commercial construction sector presents significant potential for LG’s HVAC business. As demand for smart solutions rises, there is a greater need for systems that offer integrated IoT control, building automation, and real-time performance monitoring. LG is well-positioned to meet this demand with its advanced technologies.

The summit proved to be a vibrant platform for networking and collaboration, as industry leaders, consultants, and business partners engaged in discussions about market trends and the future of HVAC technology. The event buzzed with excitement as participants explored new opportunities for partnerships and innovation.

Recognising the contributions of key partners, LG awarded top-performing project consultants for their excellence in the HVAC industry. These accolades reflect the company’s focus on collaboration and its commitment to advancing technology to meet the ever-evolving needs of customers.

The success of the LG HVAC Consultant Leaders’ Summit marks a key moment for LG Electronics in Africa, positioning the company to lead the transformation of the HVAC landscape across the continent with its innovative solutions and forward-thinking approach.

Joonkyu Song, general manager of Air Solutions at LG Electronics, highlighted the growing need for innovative HVAC solutions in Africa, driven by rapid urbanisation and an increase in commercial construction projects. “With the boom in commercial construction, the demand for smart, energy-efficient HVAC systems has never been greater. Our latest technologies offer unmatched performance while supporting our sustainability goals,”he said.

Song also emphasised the significance of the Multi V 5 air quality solution, calling it a breakthrough for both energy efficiency and wellness. “This system enables building managers to maintain optimal air quality while reducing energy consumption. We believe that healthier indoor environments are crucial for improving productivity and well-being, particularly in places like hospitals and schools.”

Further, Song spoke about LG’s commitment to education and training, noting the opening of the company’s B2B Academy in Lagos. “Our academy reflects our dedication to developing the next generation of HVAC professionals. Innovation is not just about technology; it’s about empowering people with the skills to implement these solutions effectively,” he added.

Looking toward the future, Song expressed LG’s vision for the HVAC industry in Africa. “As we continue to innovate, we aim to lead the transformation of the HVAC sector on the continent. Through collaboration with our partners, we can create a future where energy-efficient solutions are accessible to all, contributing to a sustainable and resilient environment for generations to come.”
