The Ikeja Government Reservation Area is not only a residential splendour. It is also an enclave of some of the cosiest hotels in Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre, Lagos. Ikeja GRA’s major streets such as Isaac John, where two Radisson hotels lead the most exotic properties and Joel Ogunaike Street, home of Lagos Country Club and multiple mid-brow hotels can be described as the city’s commercial precinct powered by hospitality.

Now, just joining this select league of hotels in Ikeja GRA is The Providence Hotel, an offspring of the Mantis family in Nigeria. The Providence by Mantis located on Oba Akinjobi Way, is adjacent to Joel Ogunaike, where the likes of Shoregate Hotel, Grandbee Suites, Georgetown Hotel and Starfire Hotel, among others, are nestled up and are already holding sway in the traveller hospitality market.

There are innumerable streets and roads that pave the city of Lagos and some of these streets/roads are famous around the country. The captivating atmosphere of Lagos’ streets, particularly Oba Akinjobi Way, will give you a wonderful explorative feeling. The Providence by Mantis is situated on this very street within the GRA, Ikeja, neighbouring the attractive Lagos Consulate office of the Ghana High Commission.

A high-security presence ensures a peaceful atmosphere, with the Ikeja Golf Club, restaurants, cafes, clubs, lounges and bars within this expensive neighbourhood. The computer village – the largest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accessories market in Africa is located just a few minutes away.

This new hotel, purpose built, has clear features to put it among the top pile in this highly competitive market. The Providence by Mantis is a 79-room 5-star hotel, where luxury and class are complimented by the promise of exceptional service to different classes of guests. Set in a sprawling suburban backdrop, away from the energy and excitement of Lagos, the hotel has a modern design, elegant lines and bold colours. The Providence by Mantis’s 79 luxury rooms include three Penthouse Suites, situated on the 5th floor.

Bold colours adorn the rooms at The Providence, allowing you to relax in African style. Enjoy modern furniture and wooden finishes in this polished hotel. Each room is designed with a truly African feel and warm colours to give guests a fresh and new feel as they travel to The Providence for business or leisure. All rooms offer king sized beds offering complete relaxation in these spacious rooms.

The hotel parades a broad array of room categories ranging from standard to penthouse. The standard rooms are equipped with walk in shower and bathtub. Each room has central air conditioning, a flat-screen LED TV with 30 satellite channels, cosy king size bed with luxurious beddings, 24 hours WIFI and spacious wardrobe.

The Deluxe room exudes a warm elegance. It is finely decorated for a luxurious stay and contains all basic amenities such as Colour LED TV with 30 Satellite channels, cosy king size bed with quality linen, two single occasional chairs, dressing mirror, mini fridge and well-stuffed bathroom

The Providence also has a spacious bedroom and living room called the Junior Suite; with furnishings, including a comfortable sofa and a writing desk. Internet access capability completes this business environment. In addition, the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a shower booth to create a more relaxing bath time.

The hotel’s executive suite is a cosy 60-sqm of tastefully furnished space offering a comfortable stay. Each executive suite is aesthetically designed, well ventilated and has a fully central air-conditioned bedroom, bathroom, a living area, best suited for business travellers and tourists.

If a guest desires an intimate and charming atmosphere, they probably would go for the Diplomatic suite laced with high quality, spectacular walkway to the lounge, Wi-Fi facility, Hi Definition LED TV with 30 Satellite channels, spacious bathroom and guest toilet.

The Penthouse is designed with amazing breath-taking panoramic skyline view of the city from the terrace. The Penthouse features Expresso/coffee facility, Wi-Fi, Hi Definition LED TVs, a separate lounge, and dining area for guests and over 70 square metres of comfort for your convenience. This N189,000 per night guest luxury harbour has free breakfast for two adults. Here, guests can enjoy an evening in one of the luxurious penthouses including a fruit platter on arrival and a bottle of sparkling wine.
