“Give Up Returning to The Past, That Chapter is Behind You, Your Best Life Is Before You – Begin Writing by Living” – Joshua Awesome
In life, we often find ourselves looking back at our past experiences, sometimes with fondness and sometimes with regret. We may wonder what we could have done differently, or what might have been if we had made different choices. However, dwelling on the past can be detrimental to our mental health and prevent us from living our best life. Instead, we should focus on the present moment and begin writing our best life by living it.
The first step towards living in the present is to let go of the past. It can be challenging to let go of past experiences, but holding onto them can prevent us from moving forward. We need to acknowledge our past experiences and learn from them, but we should not allow them to define us. By accepting the past and focusing on the present, we can start to create a new and better chapter in our lives.
One way to start living in the present is to practice mindfulness. Mind- fulness is a state of awareness where we focus on the present moment and accept our thoughts and feelings without judgment. It allows us to be fully present in the moment and appreciate what is happening around us. Mindfulness can be practiced through meditation, breathing exercises, and other mindfulness techniques. By incorporating mindfulness into our daily routine, we can reduce stress and anxiety, improve our mood, and become more resilient to life’s challenges.
Another way to live in the present is to set goals for the future. Goals can provide us with a sense of purpose and direction, and they can help us create a vision for our future. However, it is essential to set realistic and achievable goals. Setting goals that are too lofty or unrealistic can lead to disappointment and frustration. By setting achievable goals and taking small steps towards them each day, we can create a sense of accomplishment and build confidence in ourselves.
Finally, we need to focus on self-care. Self-care is essential for our mental health and well-being. It involves taking care of our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Self-care can include things like exercise, healthy eating, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that bring us joy and fulfillment. By taking care of ourselves, we can build resilience and cope better with life’s challenges.
