The MAKEMS Jewelry Exhibition, a flagship showcase for Nigeria’s artisan jewelry sector, is set to return on 29 December 2025 with a display of meticulously crafted pieces aimed at collectors and design enthusiasts. The annual event, to be held at W O Kilaso Hall in the Glowing Ages Academy complex, will showcase the brand’s growing reputation for handcrafted luxury and contemporary design.
The exhibition comes as bidding intensifies for the “Royal Amethyst & Baroque Gold Prestige Suite”, a one-off ensemble combining raw amethyst, hand-forged gold and rare baroque pearls. The piece, positioned as both an investment-grade collectible and an artistic heirloom, is drawing interest through the company’s dedicated auction portal: https://makemsjewelryauction.com.ng.
MAKEMS, founded on a philosophy of craftsmanship and narrative-driven design, has cultivated a following among buyers seeking distinctive, small-batch jewelry. This year’s theme: “Shop! Sparkle!! And Shine!!!”, underscores the brand’s focus on emotional connection and the enduring appeal of handmade pieces in an increasingly mass-produced market.
Visitors will be offered a showcase of necklaces, rings and bracelets fashioned from ethically sourced gemstones and fine metals, each produced under the direction of MAKEMS’ creative lead. The collection spans luxury-inspired earrings, minimalist silhouettes and bolder statement designs aimed at a broad buyer base.
According to Wumi Fagbeyiro, director of operations, the event will also feature live model presentations, including curated looks inspired by traditional and white weddings, executive styling and children’s collections. With a family-friendly format and a range of entry-level and premium pieces, MAKEMS is positioning the exhibition as both a commercial opportunity and a festive-season experience.
“In addition to the stunning displays, the MAKEMS Jewelry Exhibition will feature models wearing some statement pieces in themes such as traditional wedding look, white wedding look, boss couples and kids collection.
“The event is family-friendly, with collections even for younger attendees to select their own jewelry. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-time visitor, this exhibition offers something for everyone, making it the perfect outing to kick off the holiday season with sparkle and joy,” Fagbeyiro said, stressing that MAKEMS is dedicated to promoting handmade jewelry curation.
The company maintains that its commitment to handcrafted production remains central to its identity, a stance it hopes will continue to differentiate its offerings in a market increasingly defined by scale rather than story.
