Max-Migold launches 25th batch of FM master craft programme to address Nigeria’s skills gap

Max-Migold Limited, a leading provider of Facility Management (FM) consulting and training in Nigeria, has announced the launch of Batch 25 of its Facility Management Master Craft Programme (FMMC). The nationally recognised training programme is designed to bridge the skills gap within Nigeria’s expanding FM sector.

FMMC Batch 25 is scheduled to commence on August 11 2025, arriving at a crucial moment for the industry. According to recent industry research, Nigeria’s FM sector is experiencing annual growth exceeding 15 per cent. This expansion is fueled by the rapid development of commercial real estate, increasing demand for energy efficiency, and the growing professionalisation of building services across the country. Despite this growth, less than 35 per cent of FM professionals currently possess formal training, presenting a challenge for organisations aiming to optimise their facility operations and asset performance.

Paul Erubami, managing director of Max-Migold and a certified FM professional, underscored the transformative potential of the programme. “FMMC is more than a training programme;it’s a transformative career pathway. Our goal is to produce facility managers who are not only technically competent but are also strategic leaders ready to manage complex assets across Nigeria and Africa,” Erubami stated.

The FMMC programme, now in its 25th iteration, has already made a substantial impact, having trained over 700 professionals from a diverse range of prominent organisations. These include industry leaders such as CBRE Excellerate, Brains & Hammers, FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Promasidor, and Julius Berger Facilities Management, spanning critical sectors including oil & gas, finance, healthcare, construction, and education.

Participants in FMMC Batch 25 will receive instruction across essential areas of facility management, including: Facility Management Strategy & Planning, Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance, Lifecycle Asset Management, Energy Management & Sustainability, Smart Building Technologies, and Project & Vendor Management

Upon graduation, participants will be awarded a nationally acclaimed ISO-aligned certification from the Max-Migold Training Centre. This centre holds accreditation from the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN), positioning graduates for recognition in both local and international markets.

The FMMC programme offers several features designed to enhance participants’ career trajectories, including: Access to Class Recordings, Flexible Payment Plans, Industry Field Trips, Job Placement Support & Career Transition Services, Post-Graduation Peer Support & Networking, and an exclusive graduation ceremony

Max-Migold’s alumni have consistently reported commendable  post-training outcomes. These include securing job promotions, achieving higher salaries, successfully pivoting careers into new FM specialisations, and gaining access to talent placement opportunities facilitated by the company.

The FMMC programme directly aligns with Nigeria’s national agenda to professionalise the built environment sector and ensure sustainable infrastructure management across the country. The initiative also serves a key role in supporting private organisations in their ongoing search for highly skilled, field-ready, and certified professionals capable of managing high-value facilities with strategic foresight.

“Our alumni are leading change across Nigeria’s critical infrastructure; from manufacturing plants and commercial towers to hospitals and educational institutions. FMMC is not just educating workers, it’s cultivating future FM leaders,” Erubami noted.

Applications for FMMC Batch 25 are currently open via the FMMC page. Max-Migold has indicated that limited slots are available and early bird attracts 10 per cent discount to ensure personalised engagement and hands-on learning experiences for all participants. Interested professionals and corporate partners are encouraged to apply early to secure their places.
