BY MIKE OCHONMA

Competition in the compact luxury SUV is taking another dimension following the unveiling and test-drive of the all-new captivating 2022 Geely Azkarra under franchise of Mikano Motors Nigeria Limited.

The test-drive which started at the company’s corporate head office in Victoria Island, Lagos through the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos to the company assembly in Karameh City, located on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway gets an entirely new front fascia and a sportier look.

On the road, the Azkarra has got power, road presence, it is impressive, very comfortable inside and conveys a lot of driver’s and passenger confidence.

Azkarra’s masterful ideation combines premium finishings with the latest technological advancements to give occupants the ultimate driving experience. From conception to completion, it has been meticulously crafted to distinguish its presence on and off the road.

On motion, the 3.0 liter engine Azkarra is reliable and versatile, the perfect companion for daily use in all weather conditions. It the ideal choice for family adventures and long road trips.

Equipped with state-of-the-art All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system and multi-disc clutch that automatically destributes torque between the and rear wheels.

At a very closer look, it would be observed that, the expanding cosmos grille up-front has been replaced with a bigger, deeper, and sportpier-looking one.

Furthermore, the fog lamp housings and the lower lip have been tweaked, too. Frankly, it looks like the Azkarra got a complete makeover just by looking at this end.

The rear, however, begs to differ. It wears basically the same styling outback, only more parts have been blacked out. Interestingly,.the wheels sport a dark new finish, too. This is accentuated nicely by the orange brake calipers and the orange trim that flows from the front end and continues onto the sides.

Inside, the new Azkarra also gets minor exciting changes. However, the cabin does feature new sophisticated material on the seats and the dash, with an abundance of contrasting blue trim all around.
