The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd., a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (Coca-Cola HBC) group, is doubling down on its commitment to women’s empowerment and financial inclusion with its renewed sponsorship of the 2025 FinTribe Finance Fair, a platform designed to equip women with tools to achieve financial independence and business growth.

Now in its second year of partnership, NBC’s support highlights the beverage company’s expanding role in fostering inclusive economic participation beyond its traditional manufacturing and distribution operations. Themed “Level Up,” this year’s fair, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, will convene thousands of women for a day of learning, networking, and skill-building across finance, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.

According to the NBC, the initiative aligns with its broader sustainability and inclusion agenda, a pillar of its 75-year legacy as one of Nigeria’s largest consumer goods companies. Women occupy a critical position in NBC’s value chain, from micro-distributors and retailers in urban markets to rural entrepreneurs driving community-level sales. The company says empowering this segment has a multiplier effect on household income, business development, and grassroots employment.

The FinTribe Finance Fair is organised by FinTribe, a women-focused finance community that provides tools and training to help women save, invest, and scale their businesses. NBC’s sponsorship, now in its second consecutive year, represents a deliberate effort to leverage partnerships for broader impact, enabling access to training, credit literacy, and mentorship for thousands of women across Nigeria.

Beyond sponsorship, NBC has consistently rolled out targeted programmes for women in its value chain, from micro-distribution grants and capacity-building sessions to mentorship schemes focused on small business development. These efforts mirror Coca-Cola HBC’s regional sustainability strategy, which prioritises inclusion, entrepreneurship, and community resilience across 29 markets.
