Nigeria this Tuesday, received its first consignment of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, thus making it the third West African country after Ghana and Ivory Coast to do so.
The Covid-19 vaccine consignment with a total of 3.9 million doses was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja by the Federal Government delegation led byEnahire Osagie, the health minister, and Faisal Shuaib, executive director/CEO, National Primary Health Care Development Agency.

The consignment arrived the country in an Emirates Boeing 777-300 airplane at about noon.
