Rite Foods Limited, one of Nigeria’s largest food and beverage manufacturers, has unveiled the Bigi Flex Sausage Roll, a new snack product, expected to strengthen its position in the fiercely competitive on-the-go food segment.

The launch underscores how consumer goods companies are adapting to shifting dietary preferences among Nigeria’s growing young population, particularly Gen Z and urban millennials, whose demand for variety, convenience and value is reshaping the country’s trillion naira snack industry.

The Bigi Flex roll, which the company describes as “beefier and bolder,” is being pitched as an affordable yet indulgent snack designed to appeal to younger consumers seeking products that reflect individuality and lifestyle. 

Seleem Adegunwa, Rite Foods’ managing director, said the innovation was created with the firm’s consumers’ well-being and lifestyle in mind, and represented the group’s continued push to deliver innovations that keep consumers excited and satisfied.

The company, which manufactures its Bigi and Fearless beverages alongside sausages at its Ogun State facility, has in recent years carved a niche by investing heavily in branding and distribution. It was awarded “Best Value for Money – Sausage Brand” in 2023.
