Semicolon Africa, a company that develops workforce skills, has entered into a strategic partnership with internet access provider  ipNX Nigeria Limited. The partnership aims to help Semicolon Africa achieve its goal of supporting individuals and businesses in Africa to succeed in the future, and will leverage ipNX’s high-quality internet services and connectivity.

ipNX noted that it recognizes the importance of reliable internet connectivity, and is committed to supporting Semicolon’s community by providing affordable and dependable internet services. This will enable learners in Semicolon’s techpreneurship programme to acquire the skills they need to become global tech talents who can solve local and global problems. Startup founders in the Semicolon Ventures Lab will also benefit from this partnership.

According to Chibuzo Ekejiuba, academic lead at Semicolon Africa, the partnership is a cause for excitement among the students, given ipNX’s track record of success in delivering ICT solutions. Ekejiuba noted that reliable, high-quality internet access is essential for learners to explore the many opportunities in the tech sector and develop the skills needed to become the next generation of tech leaders.

Semicolon, with its growing community of over 700 software engineers, is committed to providing the resources necessary for learners and startups to succeed. By doing so, Semicolon hopes to create a better learning environment, solve business problems, and have a positive impact on their communities.

Folashade Efiong-Bassey, group executive director at ipNX, said the partnership with Semicolon aligns with the company’s strategic goal of providing innovative solutions that meet the needs of individuals and contribute to the development of the Nigerian technology ecosystem.

Efiong-Bassey stated that the partnership between Semicolon and ipNX is not only about providing internet services, but also about establishing a strong and collaborative relationship that will have a lasting impact on both companies and their respective communities.

“We are investing in the future of our nation. Education and access to information are fundamental drivers of development, and ipNX is committed to bridging that digital future by providing affordable internet access to aspiring tech professionals and budding entrepreneurs,” she noted.
