Truecaller offers subscribers new features to enhance effective communication

Truecaller’s over 100 million daily active users, and a growing number of Pro subscribers, now have an enhanced option of seeing who viewed their profile.

The tech company said in a statement that it reintroduced the much requested, ‘Who Viewed Your Profile’ feature for its Pro subscribers, thereby allowing users to see who has viewed their profile, and keep them prepared for which calls to expect and from whom.

Steered by the need to enhance communication amongst the globes thriving population, the company said: “This is a first of many new Truecaller Pro features that the company will be releasing. In the coming weeks, the Pro feature will be rebranded to premium and the company will be adding more features to make communications safe and efficient.”

Explaining how it works, the company said Truecaller pro users will receive a notification when another user has viewed their profile using Truecaller. However, an initiated search, where someone simply searches for another person, without tapping on a profile, will not trigger a “who viewed my profile” notification.

“Depending on the user’s privacy settings, contact information, such as phone number or additional information that a user may have added could be hidden, the company said, adding that users will still have to send a contact request for their details.

“Users can always control who views what information on their own profile by going to the ‘Privacy center’ in the Settings of their Truecaller app,” the company further explained.

The app equally has a private mode feature which works when a user becomes a pro subscriber. The company said such user can toggle on or off private mode, which means that the other user will not be notified when such user has looked at their profile.

People use Truecaller to know who’s getting in touch, filter out unwanted calls and SMS, and focus on what really matters.

The company provides a suite of unique services such as a dialler that offers caller ID, spam detection, messaging and more.
