UBA launches initiative to guide SMEs on new tax regime

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, in response to the recent tax reforms introduced by the federal government, has taken the proactive step of hosting a Knowledge Series webinar focused on guiding small and medium business owners through the operations of the 2024 withholding tax regulations.
The Knowledge Series webinar, themed “2024 Withholding Tax Regulations: Impact on SMEs,” is set to provide business owners with an understanding of the implications of the revised tax regulations and how UBA’s offerings can be leveraged to ensure continued growth and profitability despite these changes.
UBA’s Knowledge Series represents a consistent commitment by the bank to empower business owners through regular seminars and workshops, curated to deliver insights and guidance from leading industry experts and professionals.

Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s group head, retail and digital banking, who spoke ahead of the webinar emphasised the importance of this edition, noting that it will provide a platform for businesses, especially SMEs, to learn more about the new tax regime, implications for their business and attendant benefits for them and the economy at large.
“Getting first-hand knowledge from experts on this important subject, as put together by UBA, will be invaluable for any business owner looking to build a lasting enterprise,” he said.
Also speaking on the upcoming workshop, Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group head, marketing & corporate communications, noted that the sessions frequently organised by the bank continue to resonate with SMEs and business owners, and have in more ways than one, helped them take major leaps that have helped engender success.
