  • Offers Nigerians in the UK exciting freebies, money saving service bundles
As Nigerians  prepare to roll out the drums in celebration of the country’s 60th independence anniversary, WorldRemitt, a leading digital payment platform, is offering special freebies and unique service offers  to approximately 215,000 Nigerians living and working in the United Kingdom.
Gbenga Okejimi, the company’s Nigeria country manager, while presenting  a comprehensive detail on the organisation’s upcoming offer noted the challenges  Nigerians living in the Uk face especially during this covid-19 global health crisis coupled with the potential currency crisis in the wake of this year’s oil price crash.  According to him, the financial demands on Nigerians sending remittance money home from the UK are at an all-time high and the £3.27 billion per year in remittances paid by Nigerians  is more than any other nationality living in the UK.
In consideration of this, he assured customers sending money home to Nigeria via the WorldRemit platform this September they will enjoy a two percent discount and pay no WorldRemit fees on every transaction thereby putting more money in the pockets of those who need it most.
He further stated that customers stand a chance to win one of 240 big prizes, including 60 iPhone 11 devices,  £60 worth  of Amazon shopping vouchers, adding that each winner will also get a £60 Jumia voucher for their recipient to put to good use back home in Nigeria.
Aside the numerous freebies, Okejimi disclosed that WorldRemit is also offering a month of WorldRemit fee-free and discounted transfers to help lighten the load for the  hard-working Nigerian community, giving them something worth celebrating.
Speaking on the organisation’s reliability and reputation , he stated that for many more, the ability to send money home using the WorldRemit payment platform knowing that money sent home reaches loved ones quickly, transparently, and with all of the safety afforded by a global leader in digital payments is a huge source of pride for Nigerians working in the UK, just as October’s Independence Day will be a huge source of pride for Nigerians.
Okejimi further guaranteed customers using WorldRemit that they can send money home, with funds typically landing in the recipient’s bank account in a matter of minutes as the platform provides a great relief to users who don’t need to venture out to the high-street to make transactions.
He described the exchange rates as competitive with low and fixed fees while customers are kept updated by iPhone and Android notifications every step of the way.
WorldRemit is an online money transfer business reputed to provide international money transfer services  in more than 50 countries. It was founded in 2010 and is one of the pioneer online money transfer startups to focus exclusively on mobile-to-mobile money transfer.
